About us

 

Bancone is a modern fresh pasta restaurant situated in Covent Garden right in the heart of theatre-land.

We are an atmospheric and buzzy restaurant with an open kitchen where guests can relax and eat while watching the chefs at work. Our pasta is rolled, and formed in the window which attracts much attention from people passing outside!

The kitchen brigade is a team of 10 chefs and we work closely with the front of house team to ensure we deliver the best possible experience for our guests.

 

Role description

 

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef looking to improve their career.

Must be competent and confident chef familiar with Italian cuisine and fresh pasta work and:

  • Good team management skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Willing to teach and train
  • Overseeing all sections
  • Excellent personal presentation and hygiene

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved with the development of a new restaurant brand and concept.

 

 

Responsibilities

To manage the kitchen:

  • implementing recipes, costings and liaise with suppliers
  • recruit & motivate the team and make rotas
  • training team new dishes to company recipe and presentation standards
  • managing all areas of food safety and compliance to the highest standards

Ideal candidate

Will be passionate about delivering quality, time and time again.

Have an excellent understanding of fresh pasta and a great palate.

Experience working under pressure in a high volume environment.

Have excellent communication skills and be an example to others.
