The Connection at St Martin’s helps thousands of people every year to recover from homelessness. We do this by tackling the underlying causes of homelessness as well as offering practical help.
This year we are lauching a series of social enterprises at The Connection. The first of these will be our Communal Breakfasts.
Every morning in August we’ll be setting out and laying up a long breakfast table, where one can hunker in the courtyard behind St Martin-in-the-Fields Church near Trafalgar Square and enjoy a delicious menu prepared and served by our homeless clients.
The courtyard will be open 8 – 10am on each weeday in August, with breakfast served from 8.30am.

Baked tomatoes, boiled eggs, green sauce and plenty of toast
We are looking for a few freelance chefs to join our team to prepare and serve a short but delicious breakfast menu.
Working from 7am to 11am, 5 days a week, the role will encompass perparation and service alongside a team of chefs selected from amogst our team of Step-Up* volunteers.
*Step Up provides people who use our service with volunteering placements across different departments at The Connection.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced chef used to managing their own workload and a small team. Someone who is happy executing a simple menu to a high standard.
Experience of working with or volunteering alongside vulnerable adults would be a bonus.
