Origin Coffee Roasters are one of the leading and most progressive speciality coffee roasters in the UK. We have a visionary approach to direct trade coffee sourcing and roasting. Attention to detail throughout every step of the process, from farm to cup, provides the foundations for us to showcase great coffee. Our new site in the heart of Southwark is our first in London with a fully functioning kitchen. The kitchen teams' task is to incorporate and transfer our attention to detail, creativity, consistency and quality to every dish and plate of food we produce.
Our food is sourced directly from suppliers and producers via Foodchain – a marketplace which works towards building a sustainable and transparent supply chain. Not only does this give us access to high-quality, fresh produce but it ensures that we build lasting relationships with the people who supply us. In addition, our menus are constantly evolving to reflect seasonality and our lunch menu completely changes every two weeks. We will also soon start to cater for events at a new location producing sharing boards and canapé style catering.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable chef to join us. Working as part of a small team, the successful applicant can have a big impact on our food offering as we collaborate on menus and develop our offering. The usual working week is 35 - 40 hours across 5 shifts over 5 days. We offer breakfast, brunch and lunch through the week as well as baking and catering for pop-ups and events.
We are as much looking for the correct person with the right attitude to join our team as well as suitable previous experience. You will be given a contract for a guaranteed number of hours per week with any additional hours paid at your hourly rate.

A few years’ experience working in a cafe or restaurant ideally where you have contributed to dishes and/or created your own recipes. This experience and level of confidence to create your own dishes will be required when making daily salad specials, frittata's and breakfast and brunch specials.
