On the other side of the business we have a beautiful 100 cover restaurant in Ealing, at Pitzhanger Manor, two really cool cafes in South London and our Pitzhanger kiosk in Walpole Park, W5.

Role description

Social Pantry are looking for a passionate ambitious Junior Chef to join their fun production kitchen team. This is where we produce some of the most unique event catering food, for some cool London venues.

Fantastic opportunities to see your passion for well-sourced, fresh and delicious food come to life every day. You will support the Head Chef in the running of a busy production kitchen and create stylish, seasonal dishes at events, from intimate weddings, fashion press days to huge corporate launches.

Help prepare and cook event and contract/our cafe food

  • Opportunity to help out at our South London cafes as and when required.
  • Represent Social Pantry at events and on site at contracts
  • To work to a high standard always and assist other team members when needed


  • Take an active interest in Social Pantry and the success of the company

Ordering & Suppliers:

  • Assist with ordering of food and kitchen supplies
  • Quality control of all deliveries and suppliers
  • Assist with ensuring there is efficient stock control, rotation and monitoring

 Health and safety:

  • To have an understanding of and adhere to the Company’s rules and regulations and in particular the policies and procedures relating to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
  • To ensure all colleagues work hygienically and productively
  • Ensure a safe workplace by identifying hazards and taking corrective action
  • Demonstrate a high standard of personal appearance, always wearing the full and correct uniform and ensuring good personal hygiene

Level 1 & Level 2 Health & Safety.

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate with have an active interest in food trends and the London restaurant scene. You will also have some experience in menu design from coveting new ingredients to costing each item, food and equipment, to balance profitability with pleasure.

A ‘can do’ attitude and approachable nature is also essential as the spearhead of our vitally important kitchen team.
